When I got my XT some time ago
I tried charging it Via the USB for hours and it would not charge

Battery was dead and I needed to charge it by connecting to the battery on the bike before I could get any joy

Updated mine yesterday without the 3 dot issue via Garmin express
But I reset afterwards anyway just to be sure
I re paired to the phone and the Helmet Bluetooth
Went for a ride afterwards and seems to be working ok no issues playing music and voice directions paused the music and resumed ...

Initially I tried some usb chargers but none had enough umph to get it going even after a couple of hours
as the battery was flat so I connected the mount to a car battery I had lying about and it powered up straight away and charged up

RMU folder is also on mine
Maps folder is 6.5 gb RMU folder 12.5 gb

I also got that error on mine when installing maps to the pc but in my case there was not enough space on the drive as you can see it totalled nearly 20 gb
it installed after clearing some space
you could also try disabling the AV ...

Yeah i would imagine that would be an expensive option
But yes the HJC intercom in my helmet is based on the Sena smh5

I also get choppy / stutter intermittently
I have a hjc bluetooth headset in the helmet
Both the phone ( Oneplus 7 ) and the helmet are paired to the Garmin and the music / mp3 is saved to the internal memory of the XT
No Rhyme or reason to it just breaks up and stops playing

My old Garmin Nuvi had a place for Favourites and only stuff that I had saved as favourites was in there
