I was in the trips, on the xt.. selected some to rename, and got errors that said copy error or something.. don't exactly recall..
The high dpi on a 4k screen was super tiny.. lol..not sure if there was another way to see anything without a magnifying glass..
I'll look into the errors more .. I can't be the only one with them.. but possibly. I think garmin express tossed some of my old stuff on the new xt replacement..I'll document what I can... jist of it was selecting numbered trips, to rename..nothing fancy..
As far as the xt2... it will probably get sent back.. but I have till the 3rd of May to decide...
Introducing TripManager
Re: Introducing TripManager
I (think to have) fixed the scaling on Hi-DPI. You can download V1.3.0.148 from my One Drive. https://1drv.ms/f/c/e97d3333e40b4915/Eq ... g?e=LONLWx
Can you confirm that works better?
TripManager should be able to do more than 62 Via points.

Re: Introducing TripManager
Hi,
I have an XT2 and have read as much as I can about TripManager and am keen to experiment a bit and see how well it works after all I have read.
Just a newbie question
Can I still keep the Tread app with the XT2 pairing permissions or should I reset the XT2 and do a fresh install of the Tread app and not give it pairing permissions?
Thanks!!!

Re: Introducing TripManager
I dont have an XT2 myself, but what I understand from @smfollen and @jfheath is that it will work, but the typical problems of having Tread synced will remain. It's best to disable the sync with Explore.

Re: Introducing TripManager
There is no option to disable synch on the XT2 or on your phone. Instead You have to reset the XT2 and delete the Tread app from your phone and then reinstall it - without enabling synchronisation or data storage.
You have to:
There is a option in settings on the Tread App to set up storing of data.
Don'r select either of these. If you do, Tread synch is enabled, and you will have to donthis all over again.
Resetting the XT2 does not delete your latest updates or maps.
With Synch not allowed, you still get access to:
You have to:
- Copy your CurrentTrackLog.gpx and Archive folder if you like to keep your log files
- Remove the Tread App from your phone
- Reset the XT2
- Turn on the XT2 - make sure that it doesn't turn off
- Download and install a new Tread App. You will need to (not any in order)
- Scan the QR code on the XT2 screen
- Sign in to your Garmin account on the phone
- Do not allow the XT2 to store data or synchronise
- Put the XT2 settings back to how you like them

- Weather Data
- Traffic and Road closure data
- Up ahead places
- Phone call info on the XT2 screen
- email, messages and other alerts displayed on screen if you have them selected. These are chosen in the Tread app on the phone for Android devices or from a new item in the XT2 menus if you use an iphone.
