That is strange!

Like @Peobody said I wonder if we would be better using a different profile :?

Probably. The key question is if you do does it then give you the correct route on the XT? I don't have one so can't check.

Also would be worth looking at the differences between the motorcycling profile in BaseCamp and try to determine which of the options are creating the issues.

@sussamb Unfortunately I can't change that setting in MyRoute App

The "driving" profile covers cars and bikes well anything driving really

The only other options are cycling and walking

I would have to import the route to basecamp and check it there

Which I did do and on the driving option it shows the route correctly

I should add that when you import it to basecamp you get straight lines between each point and recalculating it shows the correct route! not with the huge detour

Yet BaseCamp allows routing using the activities I mentioned above. Either Garmin is using an earlier HERE map or Garmin have corrected it.

The issue still exists that Basecamp produces a different route with the Driving profile vs. the Motorcycle profile right?

This is a Basecamp specific question but since we're talking about it, does anyone know if there are any differences in those two profiles that we don't see in the configuration options?

This I can't answer as I use MyRoute App for planning the route but when exported it and opened it up with basecamp it recalculated to be fine

It could just be an issue with MyRoute App and not Basecamp or the Zumo

I need to look in to it more but I am going away for 4 days tomorrow so won't have chance yet

OK I tell a lie! I thought I would have a quick look before I head off to bed

In basecamp if you have avoid state highways ticked it won't allow you down it but untick it and it works fine

I've heard this before and never really believed it as I have never been able to demonstrate it.
Are the settings for the Driving Profile and for the Motorcycle profile identical ?

Today, I discovered something really important. I found another way that doesn't work.
