Isn't it enough to “simply” o pen the imported route without starting navigation, and then save a copy of it on the device ?
Then the copy would also have the “ Saved ” flag and wouldn't be interpreted as “imported,” so it would be less of a problem for RUT.
Tell me, am I remembering this wrong?

Re: Importing .gpx files into Zumo XT3
Then, could you create a collection
and assign the route to it?
If that’s not possible, we’ll keep looking into why not
if it is possible,
go (back) to the collection
chose “Import”
import one route from the GPX file (may) from the memory card
and then select this new collection

Re: Importing .gpx files into Zumo XT3
not the file, the route.
Sorry, but the deeper we dig to find the problem, the more important it is that we use the correct terms together.
But now, next step: can you open the route now and start the navigation?

Re: Importing .gpx files into Zumo XT3
Try to use the zumo XT3's built-in route planner far - 1st plan, 2nd save, and 3rd finaly retrieve/open - a simple, short route.
Please.
Please.

Re: Importing .gpx files into Zumo XT3
CollingsBob One more question:
What exactly did you do, and where?
What do you see in the Tread app?
What do you actually see on the Zumo XT3 device?
I'm not quite sure where or how you saw the following >

Re: Importing .gpx files into Zumo XT3
CollingsBob ,
Here are a few basic tips that might be helpful
Try using FrankB's TripManager; with TM, you can also see content that would otherwise remain hidden, and that can be a big help
Unfortunately, GPX files are “merely” containers.
You can “only” use GPX files to exchange data and ...

Hi CollingsBob ,
I had noticed something similar, duringI had deliberately tested it analytically and manually experimented with the settings in the hidden database .
I had changed a setting to disable Explore, and that wasn't a good idea.

Re: Looking for the best start option to begin a planned route.
I certainly wouldn't recommend activating multiple maps at the same time in Device Map Manager, but I haven't seen straight lines running through “nowhere” when they're more maps (mixed) active.
It’s a good idea to test that out sometime when I have the time and inclination.
But there is one ...

If you also have an SD card in the device, try removing SD Card and trying again.
It's just a suggestion, I don't have any personal experience with this, but testing without the SD card can't hurt, and SD cards can sometimes cause unexplained problems.
