The Google Earth flyover facility is still available almost direct from a BaseCamp route.

From memory, export the route from BaseCamp but in KML format (BaseCamp has the option to convert) then export to Desktop.
Open GE and import the KML route.

And, what would the file extension be, so that I might locate same?

You choose what you wish to save. Name it something memorable, and then it displays in BC library pane.
If a track has some intrinsic value to you, be that interesting scenery, nadgery roads, first trip to a ...

If they are tracks that were created on the device by a ride, I am curious how you got them into BaseCamp. I have never created a track on my XT so this is new territory to me.

The tracks pre-date my XT device; and, in fact, some are from fifteen years ago when I used a 660-model. Then, subsequently, an NAV IV device.

Many thanks - that's exactly the folder I was after.

(Although it IS device data, it's stuff that's been saved from earlier adventures and shows up in BC when "tracks" are selected with two dark-grey bootprints.) I hope that makes sense....
