Re: Stuck on Software Update
Snijderj The part of connection and disconnecting the Zumo XT between this sort of updates (maps/firmware) is normal and never was others! The reason why is, that this sort of updates are only really got installed, when your Zumo is starting. So GE can identify a successful update only when the ...

Re: Has Anybody Here Ever Created A Custom Garmin Compatible Map?
Hi - what exactly do you mean with 'custom Garmin compatible' map?
Nearly every OSM map could be used with the Zumo XT and also with Basecamp! And there are many custom-build OSM maps available on the Internet - there's a little 'restriction' with routable maps on the Zumo XT, as there could be ...

New firmware 6.70 for Zumo XT
Hi guys,
Be a bit surprised, that nobody mentioned here until today, but there is a new firmware 6.70 for the (old) Zumo XT online - at least here in Europe...

Re: Road closures?
My experience with this is as follows:
It's not enough (and not really necessary) to disable the Drive app - for me it looks like the Zumo XT has an internal 'memory' of the last traffic information's, that he get's!
I had the same problem a few years ago in Southern Tyrol - a false (as i saw ...

Re: What is this?
As i wrote above...
When you have activated 'Traffic information' and some at the source Garmin uses thinks/submitted that the road has a full(!) closure, the Zumo makes a recalculation, nevertheless what your chosen settings for a recalculation are! These must-do-this recalculations are really ...

Re: Is Anybody Else Here Having Problems With their Garmin Zumo XT Mini USB Port?
Yes, sadly also here in Europe - seem's that mini USB is really oldschool, even when the Zumo XT arrived the first time - Garmin said, that they have chosen mini USB, because its more reliable than micro USB when the Zumo XT comes out.
What (maybe) also could work, is a short adapter cable (mini ...

As written before here - it's really not a good idea, to use the Zumo XT with an USB cable on any other vehicle than a car! The usb port is sadly the weakest part of the unit and the vibrations will definitively kill the port sooner or later. Also, not to forget, you loose the ...

Re: XT deletes the tracks automatrically after 14 days
Thx for your recommendation. But you need to start the track manually - and I think I will forget this quiete often :-)
My workaround is to save the recorded data at the end of the day as a track (stored in \GPX folder). And after that I'm going to delete all recorded data.
Ich mache das ...

Re: Xt and Basecamp Map confusion
Yes, this was definitively a fault in the maps, here are two screenshots of that region on my Zumo XT
Regarding the map error in Basecamp - do you have also another map than the original Garmin one's on the Zumo XT?
Also it looks like you're on a Apple, right? Maybe there is some problem with ...
