Re: Rookie questions

What maps are you using ? I haven't come across that sort of problem myself, but the early maps caused all sorts of problems with people ending up stuck in fields, driving over the edge of a cliff (allegedly) and things like that. I loaded up the OSM maps for the UK recently, and noticed that the ma...

PM sent. Scotch is oh so tempting, but that isn't the motivation behind the offer of help !!

Re: Avoiding interstates not working.

I think you may be misunderstanding what is actually happening. I spent a lot of time researching how profiles affect the routing because the information I had read did not match my own experiences. But before I go any further, my research was done on a 590, but I suspect that the 39x series behave ...

Re: Rookie questions

It won't be random, but it will certainly seem like it. I think I can help with getting you to understand this behaviour - 'cos I tore my hair out when I first bought the 590 when it did something very similar. Once I had changed my opinion about what it SHOULD be doing (based on what the 660 did), ...

Re: CN EU 2020.20 NTU

Thanks for the link @sussamb. I have downloaded that now. It came in useful for my next little project, which I have just posted. In my response to @Iris a couple of days ago, I mentioned OpenStreetMaps - something that I have downloaded and used before. I thought I would go back and remind myself a...

OpenStreetMaps - How to Install

Open Street Maps are navigable map data files that can be downloaded for any part of the world - either in pre-defined format, or by selecting the specific areas that you wish to use. They are available for PC and for Mac as well as other platforms and can be installed easily for use with Basecamp a...

Re: CN EU 2020.20 NTU

Its working as I would expect, now I have installed it to the default on drive C (as described above). But have you seen the Open Street Maps https://www.openstreetmap.org/ ? They are quite detailed and work well. There is no speed limit information stored with the maps, but I actually quite like th...

Re: Zumo 396 Audio

Sorry that didn't work. I'm all out of ideas - but I don't have a 396 to try things out. The 'no need for an Mp3 folder' must be a new thing - on my 590 it has to be there and it has to be in capital letters. After that you can have whatever folders you like and it finds all of the music. Did you ch...

Re: Zumo 595 audio in the car

The link below might help. Its written for a 590 and the intention was to get sound out through BT headphones and input via a BT phone, but the settings are made in the same place for output to BT car. Download the pdf in post #1 Problems arise if you have other devices which grab the BT connection ...

Re: Zumo 396 Audio

Make sure the earbuds are paired to the Zumo Make sure the Zumo recognises the earbuds and shows the headphone symbol alongside it in the list of Bluetooth pairings. If that doesn't work try this - which covers the entire process for the 590. Download the pdf in Post#1 https://www.zumouserforums.co....
