Having had a 595 for a few months i have only used it twice,(car & bike) the sound on directions appears distorted (when used with a shoei helmet/sena 10u ) & and the body of the unit gets very hot on both car & bike?, I have tried to find out what to do with it as regards service as the Garmin site is a dead end?!.

My mates 595 was the same when I fitted it to his bike the other week

But the battery was pretty much flat and after a while it cooled down

Could it be that its just charging the battery?

this does not seem like normal behaviour, i had a zumo 660 for years and it never did it on that, I wonder if this extreme heat is causing the sound distortion on the speakers in my shoei helmet?.
