Hi Folks,
I wanted to reinstall my System on my Garmin Zumo 390LM. Fot that I downloaded the gcd-File from http://www.gawisp.com/perry/. I exactly downloaded the zumo3x0_GCDFile_420.gcd. It should be the actual firmware-version 4.20 of the Garmin Zumo 3x0. I placed it in the Garmin-Folder on the Zumo 390LM and renamed the file gupdate.gcd. Now you should just reboot it and it should start flashing. My zumo starts normal and not in flashing-mode.
Does anybody has experience with this? I think I have to enable anywhere the flashing-mode, but I do not know where.
Since two month the system of the Zumo is instable. I already made a factory reset. But it did not help. Now I wanted to give it a try to reinstall the system.
Cheers.
Garmin Zumo 390LM install gcd-File
Re: Garmin Zumo 390LM install gcd-File
It needs to be placed in the .system folder, not the Garmin one
Re: Garmin Zumo 390LM install gcd-File
If I put the gcd file from my Zumo 390 in the .system file of my 395 will the 395 function like the 390?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Garmin Zumo 390LM install gcd-File
Probably not no as I believe that they are totally different units

Thanks for the reply. Physically they seem to be identical on the outside but they could be internally different.
