Unknown points on CN NC 2021.1

Hmmm ... that is strange, not seen anything like that though to be fair I generally have my detail level set to Medium.

They appear to be small or home businesses. When you zoom in far enough, they have names.
They appear on both 2021.3 and 2020.3 I didn't check any further.

Hmmm, the dots I am referring to don't have any names when you zoom in. And they don't appear in my version of 2020.3
A mystery to me.

My dots seem similar to your dots. 2021.1 does seem to have more dots.

All I can say is that the dots I am seeing don't resolve into any business, etc. They just say unknown. I guess I'll live with it.

I recently purchased a 550LM which came with 2021.1 installed. I have two other Garmins with LM, they are running 2020.2 and my PC is also loaded with 2020.2.

When I connected the 550LM to Basecamp on the PC (Win10) it brought up the 2021.1 map. As I switched from one map to the other, those "unknown" dots would appear with 2021.1 and then disappear with 2020.2. I had planned to update all of my devices but, now I'll wait for the release of 2021.2 to see if they are resolved.

As a follow up with Garmin, a friend of mine talked to a Garmin rep about those unknown dots on 2021.1. He did acknowledge he saw the dots as labeled 'unknown' and would check into having those dots removed.
