Unknown points on CN NC 2021.1

Post by griff »

I just downloaded 2021.1 to my computer and I have a bunch of unknown points that I can't get rid of. I don't have these unknown points on 2020.3. I have tried every option of what I want to display on the map, including displaying basically nothing and I still have a bunch of these dots all over the place. Any one else seen this or know how to get rid of them. Thanks.

I know this reply will not help but unless I am mistaken did we not get something like this many years ago? Others will know better.

Try this griff:

- click your Activity Profile in the toolbar. That's the motorcycling, driving, walking, etc icon. If you don't have one then select View/Toolbars and tick the Activity Profile box. Now click your Activity Profile in the toolbar.

- All the way at the bottom of the dropdown menu, click on Edit Activity Profiles.

- With Activity Profile highlighted on the left side, on the right side click the Select button at Map Display Features/Select features to be displayed.

- Expand each "+" box in the Points section at the bottom of the list. Keep expanding, you'll see. Untick boxes that you don't want shown on the map.

This is how I got rid of all the stupid airplane pictures, too. Explore the other sections some, it'll make sense when you see it.

Hey Russ. Good to see ya. Yep, I have tried that. Actually took out all features and those little unknown dots still showed up. I can 'kind of' get rid of them if lower the map resolution from highest, but they still show up when I zoom in. Weird, because they are not there on the 2020.3 map version.

What are they? Have you tried hovering the mouse over them to see if you get any info on them?

Don't know what they are. When you hover over them, it says unknown.

Can you post a screenshot so we can see what you're talking about?

Ha! I wondered if "griff" was "griff" down in SC.

Did you dig deep into the menus? I found that at the lowest level if only one box is unticked then the main box is unticked. I had to keep clicking + boxes to way down in it.

Russ - I drilled down and unticked everything and still have these 'unknown' points. Have no idea what they are.
