Ignoring Way Points

Post by titter »

I'm planning a long trip in the Spring and have plotted some quite long routes on my Zumo 396 which include cafe stops every 2 or 3 hours. If whilst actually riding the route I'm feeling like I'd like to just continue and not stop, can I just ignore the stop or will my 396 keep trying to take me back there?

It will probably depend on if you go through the point or not!

I tend to put stops on the main roads so if I don't stop it doesn't matter

Some of the stops are a few 100 yards off the road I'll be travelling along. Is there not something you can do on the fly which will just enable you to miss it out? If there aint I'll just do as you say and put the stops on the main road :)

Should be Spanner, Change route … that gives you options including skip next waypoint.

This is very convenient on the 396. There is a button that looks like a curve with a x next to it on the main navigation screen. Press it and the next waypoint will be deleted.

Depending on your settings it may or may not ask you to confirm.
