Up to now I have had no issues, but recently I tried to update my Zumo 590LM maps and my PC did not recognise it.
I have tried several different USB wires etc but with no luck.
The battery is fully charged.
The moment I connect the Zumo to my PC it shows on the screen that it is connected to the PC ready for transfer but after a short while the screen changes to the normal screen showing the normal screen layout and on the PC it does not show up.
All that Garmin help centre have to say is to send it to them for a charge of 116 euros and they will see to it.
Out of curiosity I have another Garmin, the 50LM, and with this one I have no problems in connecting to my PC, updating it and renewing maps etc.
I have tried on other PC´s and its the same issue.
Anybody has come with any solutions to this problem?

Re: 590LM conection to PC
Does your PC have a different USB port you can try? My laptop has 3 ports but will recognize the zumo on only 2.

I had the same issue on my 595LM...using a mini 4 port USB hub solved it for me
