Greeting...
New XT user here. I created a multi leg route in the unit, from evergreen Colorado through Rocky Maountain Natl Park then west to Eagle Co. After Calculation (2 attempts) both times, it will not allow me to got through the natl park which has elevation over 12k.
Granted, Its snowed in now but will not allow the route. Is it because the road is likely closed seasonally? Is there a by pass method within the unit?
The trip is in July when it will be open. I know Google maps does the same....
Tks in advance
XT disallowing a route...?
Re: XT disallowing a route...?
Yes, it'll almost certainly be due to road closures. You could prove this by creating the route in BaseCamp or run your XT in simulation mode and set the clock to the date you plan to ride the route.

Re: XT disallowing a route...?
I agree with @sussamb. I would place a waypoint somewhere on 34 where it heads south on the west side of Milner Pass. Then when you ride, take the pass if its open. You can let the XT recalculate, or don't let it and manually navigate to that Via point. Once you reach it, the XT should start navigating forward. Another option would be to restart the route at some point on the eastern side of the park and set that Via point as the entry point. Just make sure you don't have any route points along the portion of the route that currently navigates around the park.
