Hi, I sometimes like to use my XT2 in a ver simple mode, I I start my bike at home, search for a waypoint, and get to navigate there (Fastest, or maybe adventure). It does that well.
BUT: If I do any kind of detour, and if I say "YES" when it asks can it re-calculate, it can jump from (say..) 50KM to my destination to 250KM. It's almost like the recalculate picks old or random via points it thinks I might enjoy. So, I no longer detour at all - and that's crazy, it's like the tail wagging the dog.
I've updated (multiple times, and I am on the latest and greatest).
I dont see anyone else reporting this behavior - Recalculate increasing the route by a factor between 2 and 5. Sometimes even cris crossing the same road a few times.
Anyone got hints as to what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!
Merv.
P.S. Happy St. Patricks day from Ireland!

Did you get anywhere with this issue?
Is there any evidence that it is trying to get you back to its original route first ?

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes)
Zumo 590, 595 & Basecamp pdf link
Zumo XT & BC Link
Today, I discovered something really important. I found another way that doesn't work.
