Renamed items after transfer

Hi!
First I transfer a route or POI/waypoint from Basecamp to my GPS.
Then I improve it in Basecamp, without modifying the name, and transfer this updated version to my Zumo.
The updated version shows up on the Zumo with original name, followed by a number.

How do I get the transfer to simply overwrite the old version, without changing the name?

You can't, you need to delete the old data first.

Yeah, it seems I first need to delete the old one, in the GUI. At least no need to delete .GPX files on the device, as when clearing all custom data.
