Can available voice languages be changed?

I use British female voice for Siri and thought I also used one on my previous XT but I don't find one listed in the voice languages on my new one. Maybe this is just wishful thinking. Is there a way to add or change available voice languages?

Interesting... I show 25+ available on mine with 5 different 'British' variants..
You can connect your XT to a PC, then look at the "voice" folder of the internal storage to see if you have any files in that folder.
I'm betting that if you have a refurb, it was completely wiped, and apparently it wasn't imaged as a new unit.
I don't know if you can download them from Garmin or not.
I could send you a copy of the ones I have, it should be a simple copy/paste to the voice folder.(others may chime in if I'm wrong)

What you describe is what I remember on my previous XT. This one only has 12 language options. I would be grateful for the British voice files. I will send you a PM with my email address.

Thanks to forum member electro_handyman I now have a British female GPS. He provided me with the British voice files he had on his XT. I copied the two female named ones into the \Voice directory on the XT then turned it on. Those British voices were listed as available languages.. Serena was noted with "Garmin Real Directions" so she was my pic, and she is the right one. The familiar voice is back. Thank you electro_handyman!
