I had a nuvi that needed the touch screen and digitizer replaced. You'd be surprised how damaged the touch was. I use a screen protector now and after 2 or 3 yrs it requires replacement. I guess it's the minute grit in glove material.

The key word there being "may". If it does then remove it. If it doesn't you're golden.

Hi Simonsimoncrewe wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022 17:25 I have the Touratech mount, by far the most secure, as it surrounds the body of the XT & prevents the unit popping off the flimsy mount.
By the time you look at the Zumo lock & postage, you may as well buy the TT mount.
I have a mount cover with a KTM logo on mine when the unit is not installed - looks fine.
Where did you get the mount cover

It swings a tab out under the Zumo release button so you can’t press it.Scarecrow wrote: ↑28 Feb 2022 16:35 hi Guys
How does the Zumo lock work
e.g. Does it lock the mount release button or does it just stop access to the ram mount.
Might be me but I cant tell from the pictures.
As stated in the earlier post I have the Tourtech locking mount but its very shaky when riding.

Re: Latest XT Motorbike Lockable Mount options
I have the ZumoLock on 2 bikes (Multistrada and XR650L). I would rather have the Touratech as it locks the entire GPS instead of relying on the seemingly anemic plastic Garmin mount. However, the Touratech was back ordered and not available when I got the Zumo XT. I custom made aluminum mounts for the ZumoLock to attach to the bike.

Re: Latest XT Motorbike Lockable Mount options
Just to close this out - just installed the Zumolock on my Multistrada.
Needed to change the mounting holes I was using for my Garmin to get enough clearance under my screen - but otherwise pretty happy.
This won't stop a determined attack obviously, but I'm happy enough to use this when leaving my bike for short periods.
