Garmin Zumo XT

I am looking at the Garmin Zumo XT as a possible GPS for a 2020 GS. Does anyone have experience wiring and mounting this unit?

The XT comes with Ram mount fittings & the base is drilled to the normal 'AMPS' standard - so it is basically up to you as to how you mounts it. The ram mounts are a bit 'clunky', I went for the Touratech mount on my KTM.

The wiring on the XT is very simple & compact, with just a positive & ground connection needed. I think I am correct in saying that the BMW's come with a dedicated GPS / can bus supply at the front of the bike near the headstock. You can buy the correct adapter plug from the dealer.
