XT Firmware Update Log

Post by jfheath »

There doesn't seem to be an official log, so I have constructed this unofficial version from screenshots.

The versions that I think that I remember are:
2.30*, 2.50*, 2.60*, 2.70, 2.80, 2.90, 5.90, 6.10*, 6.20, 6.30, 6.40, 6.50

I don't have screenshots of the following versions - 2.30, 2.50, 2.60, 6.10

Re: XT Firmware Update Log

Normally I would simply add an update to the first post - and will continue to do that when new updates appear.

But - I have just had my Zumo XT replaced. I guess that the refurbished unit that I received was prepared and set up sometime between v6.20 of the firmware and v6.30 - as it has come with 6.20 installed. So these screen shots would be out of sequence in the firmware update log above.

Below are screen shots of the updates that Express thinks are necessary now (10 Dec 2021) for a unit prepared before v6.30 was released - ie probably sometime beetween May and Sept 2021. I won't be updating this XT to v6.30 for a while - since 6.30 states that it improved the handling of shaping points, and yet it didn't address the issues that I had reported with Shaping Points over a year ago.

My original unit was purchased in April 2020 - one of the first of the second batch to arrive in the UK. It had v6 of the hardware. The serial number of this refurbished unit suggests it may have come from the same batch - but it has been provided with v8 of the hardware. So that may be a significant refurb. I'll report if I spot any improved behaviour.

(I have altered the Unit ID and the MAC address on the screen shots below.)
