Zumo 550 Text to Speech

Hello;

I have inherited a Zumo 550 which I have updated to the current maps. I also installed the English TTS languages. When I select a TTS language I get an icon on the screen that is the red lips however it has an “X” through it. Can this be resolved so that I can use TTS in my navigation?

Not all TTS files will work on all devices so I suspect that's the issue.

Is it ok to share the TTS files from one Zumo to another. I have a 550

Yes if they use the same TTS format. Later models won't work with the early TTS files.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I didn't get a chance to try the files you uploaded. The unit died shortly after my post. Now I know why i "inherited" it.

Just out of interest, in what way did the 550 expire?
