Track shown milage way way off

Having Garmin zumo XT problems? there is loads of help and advice in this forum

Track shown milage way way off

Say, my tracks show a milage way off, most of mine say are 200 to 300 miles, but they display from 0.3 to 560 or more miles.
Has anyone found a solution??
Photos attached for example the 186 mile one. Ark west was about 275 miles.

In these menus, displays the air distance (straight line) between selected places (staret-end).
When it calculates the route, it shows the road distance.
