Loading Saved Routes

Post by larryg »

Hello,
I am a long-time 665 user, just received and trying to learn my new Zumo-XT.
I have one simple question, probably stupid, but I'm baffled by it:

How do I load routes that have been saved into the XT ??
I have transferred several gpx files to the XT, via basecamp, and it showed that they were successful.
I also loaded routes onto the SD card, (using Windows Explorer), in a folder called GPX.

So where is "Custom Routes", or it's new equivalent, to be found so I can use my saved route ?
Nothing addresses this in the manual, I don't want to create a route on the XT (not yet, anyway).
Just want to use my gpx files.

Please be gentle, I am a newbie on this. :D
Thank you....

Go to APPS and tripplanner for routes and Tracks for tracks.
And, just read the manual for this advanced Gps.

OK, I stumbled on the answer to this and now I get it.

This Trip Planner is very poorly explained in the manual,
Nowhere in that section (page 16), or anywhere else, does it say a word about loading saved routes. That's a serious omission.
Reading that, I thought it only concerned creating / managing routes you create on the XT.
Coming from a 665, I'm looking for My Data, and Custom Routes - or at least something similar.
Silly Me :?

But thanks for to all who answered....

Well it talks about routes etc and navigating them, so while it might not explicitly mention imported routes it implies that's where and how routes are handled. Anyway you're sorted so that's the main thing :D
