Zumo map display issue

I'm having a bit of an issue.
When I boot up the 595LM everything is fine, I get my motorcycle icon but not much else map wise. Zoomed in and out made no difference. I recently been to Portugal MotoGP and it worked fine.
I have updated it made no difference.
Anyone had this issue?

Make sure that the map has been selected.

I assumed it would have been. I'll check today.

Map is fine is there any other options I could try?

I can select a route and the directions work fine but no map to see..

All I can think of:

Make sure only one map is selected, preferably City Navigator.
Try changing themes.
Try hardware reset.
Re-install map.

It's sorted now thanks for the advice.

I still don't know why the map went bad.

For some reason it would not update my Zumo 595 unless there was a permanent power to my laptop.

I updated all my Garmin's while I was using the updater: Garmin 66W, 46 Dash cams, Nuvi 2598 & Zumo 550 nothing to update on this unit
