Re: Poll : Curious about the Zumo XT2 ? Read on....

The Explore Icon Nothing to be wary of here. This opens up a new way of managing the tracks, routes, courses and waypoints on the Zumo - terms which we are familiar with if we have dabbled with Explore on the XT, but what I can only assume was an experiment on the XT, now seems to be a fully-fledge...

Re: Zumo XT2 : First Impressions

Main Screen.png The XT2's main screen layout contains the same set of icons with the top four entries to the right of 'Where To'?' being new additions. The XT2 looks much bigger than the XT - but the case is just 1cm wider. But the visible display is about 21% larger. The presence of the Explore ic...

Re: Loss of 595 active phone call panel

Odd - I have just answered this question somewhere else. Phone <==================> Zumo <====== ( paired as second phone ) =================> Headsets The XT needs a BT connection to the phone The XT needs a BT connection to the headset - the XT should be paired as a second phone, not as a GPS. Aft...

Re: Use Basecamp or Kurviger for planning?

Limited experience with Kurviger. A formum member very kindly helped me out and gave me access to his version for the afternoon - just to test things out. What I found was initially quite good. However, every single route point was sent to the Zumo as a Waypoint - which means that it gets saved in t...

Re: 595 will not answer calls

Thanks @lkraus amd @Peobody Prior to selling my soul to Cardo I used a totally stupid BT headset and never had any problems with incoming calls appearing on the Zumo and being heard in the headset. I did have a conversation with Garmin on Tuesday about an unrelated problem and all they could sugges...

Re: Being forced to go back to a waypoint

@jfheath the second ping you heard was probably as the simulation left the proximity area (the other side of the circle). This is what the Montana would do, Alert when it reached the circle, then again as it left. No -it wasn't that. The proximity circle was 9 miles radius. I only simulated the rou...

Re: Being forced to go back to a waypoint

I did some POI and Tour Guide testing recently, but that was on the XT. I haven't tried POIs on this machine yet. No POI loader was required or putting any other files onto the XT2, and none of my POI experiments have been anywhere near this XT2. I didn't have it. All I did was set the proximity fie...

Re: Tread data sequence ?

My understanding was that Tread and Explore both sent their data to the Explore database. I can't imagine that would be done on a rota. Computers usually talk using a semaphore basis "Oi you, I need some attention", rather than a polling basis ("Do you need owt ?", "Do You ?...

Re: Being forced to go back to a waypoint

XT2 Settings which may be relevant: Settings -> Rider Alerts -> All disabled (made noe difference when I disabled them from some being enabled) Settings -> Rider Alerts -> Proximity Alerts -> Continuous tone. I switched this from Single tone and observed no difference - except it did ping when I cro...
