Found this thread after spending a lot of time trying to install map updates to a computer. Same as various people have found that the XT2+GE 7.24.0.0 appears to have lost the install to computer option when using Basecamp and it is GE 7.23.0.0 only.

After some investigation an answer to my own question. Uninstall 7.24.0.0 and reinstall 7.23.0 - various options now available in Garmin Express and NTU 2026.1 installed OK on my M4 Mini. To be followed up with similar on my Windows laptop. Took it one step further and uninstalled 7.23.0 then ...

Recently updated from an M1 iMac (Sequoia 15.0 then 15.1) to M4 Mac Mini (ex delivery with 15.0 then requiring 15.1 for the USB-C BT peripherals). I am using Basecamp + AFT and no issues even after the OS migration. Keep Maps and Express updated. The above using a Garmin XT2 unit.

Thanks for the information. Using Android File Transfer I removed the POI folder to my iMac desktop. Disconnected AFT > XT2 and restarted the XT2. Reconnected iMac to XT2, started Garmin Express and checked account login was OK. Back to downloads and had a Cyclops update waiting -1st time in 12 ...

Try a full reset on the XT2. You will have to re-enter your preferences but this solved a lot of my issues following the update.

I don't own an XT2 but was curious about this "parking place" thing so pulled up the manual for the XT2. I can not find a mention of "parking place" nor did I find anything that gave a clue about it. Is it solely used for satellite location based on the assumption that you are turning the device on ...
