Use BC and Google Earth or Maps at the same time. I use Basecamp 4.6 so that I can still view a waypoint from Basecamp to Google Earth as Garmin "kindly" removed that in later versions of BC :cry: So a later version of BC might not be as free flowing as an older version, as software developers neve...

First point - I use the route creation tool using two waypoints and the adjust it to suit.

Second - Do seven routes that way the arrival time / distance to go will be valid for that day.

Third - Pass.

Never had a problem with the USB lead charging things, as long as the GPS is in it's cradle and powered up. Doesn't give many amps out though.
