I downloaded the update to my XT without a hitch.

I have one of those also, it has been on several bikes with me.

It can be done but it's a bit of a faff.

Interested in this as I might need a new battery for my XT let us know how it performs.

The XT changes the name to "Area" if the pin is not on a road recognised by Here maps.

I don't think he said the PIN had worked for him, unless I read it wrong.

Glad you got it sorted. some people ie: the previous owner are not fit to be let out on their own

I don't know if this will work but it costs nothing to try, back in the good old bad old days when crooks would steal car radios there was a trick of putting the radio in a freezer overnight that would clear the pin code. It might be worth a try.
