Re: 396LMT-S No Voltage at the cradle connector
Have you got the new power cable? Yup, got the new power cable. Sorry FXwheels, I was away from the computer a few days, had dental surgery. Ya I installed the new 396 power cable, and thanks to the wiring diagram for my bike model, found a switched power wire that feeds the left-front running lamp ...

Re: Compass on 396
I see no problem to look at the screen and see where I'm going to. So, if it says W, then I know that North is on right, and South is on left. If it says NW I know that South is not fully behind me to the left, and the North is just a bit to the right... And so on. If you want to see a full round ...

Re: Via points set by rubber band
Thanks for the replies. I understand that the only way to be sure is to check the Route properties before loading to the nav. Basecamp works in mysterious ways lol. Oh, while at it, have you ever got a straight line after importing into the BC? Usually I am correcting it in the Route properties by ...

Via points set by rubber band
When I pull the "rubber band" to reshape the route some points appear as via points. I have to go and set them as "don't alert", but if I forget, I get not needed via points in the nav.
Is there a way to know what point that it is setting when I'm shaping or reshaping the route?
