Ahhh... metres, or as we say over here, "meters". That makes sense considering I set the proximity at .5 mi. Thanks.

When the latest generation of 'wings first came I considered upgrading but one thing that was a major deterrent was my understanding that you could not load an externally created route into its nav system. My C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads directory is empty. What isn't empty is C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\RMU\NA\. FWIW, my experience with my iPhone, .gpx files, and the XT is that I first must save a .gpx file onto my phone (regardless whether received as an email attachment or downloaded). I can then open the Files app, locate the .gpx file, long hold on it, select Share, and then select the Garmin Drive app....

There is this reference to 'Proximity" associated with that restaurant waypoint in temp.gpx.
