Re: Tread with off line maps

I also like being connected,
but I occasionally (quite often) find myself in remote areas with poor or no connectivity, and this would be a good way to get around that.

One of the many reasons to choose Zumo over yet another app with online maps is the ability to download the maps stored on your ...

Re: Tread with off line maps

I took one last test yesterday and something must have changed.

When you press the circle of arrows on the tread app to sync, a message like: " ... if the device is connected to the network or Bluetooth... " appears for a second, which gave us hope.

Then I activated the "Airplane" mode, isolating ...

Re: Tread with off line maps

Me too recently discovered map downloading and was hoping it was for that purpose, since I was using Bluetooth conveniently with Drive and XT1.

But is it possible that only we ask these questions and no one at Garmin?

Re: Tread with off line maps

In my app, using the menu (three lines at the top left), in the settings submenu, there's the option to download offline maps.
I did it yesterday.
The same goes for the route.

I'm familiar with SD mode, but I was hoping there was another way (e.g., via Bluetooth) to be completely independent of the ...

Tread with off line maps

I saw that it's possible to download maps to my smartphone's memory so I can use them without a network connection.
What's the point if I need a network connection to transfer the route to the Zumo XT2?

Where am I going wrong?

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version

I wanted to ask you if by chance using preconfigured waypoints instead "via points/shaping points" the route could be more deterministic?

Re: Infinite loop after recalc a trip.

Happy to discovery i am not alone experiencing the loop.

I am using the last version of zumo XT2 firmware and the last tread.
😥

In the last trip I was beginning to test the complete MRA system.
The interfac Is not so mature as zumo but more more more ... affordable.

Designing a route with tread ...

Infinite loop after recalc a trip.

I found that creating a trip with tread or with the xt2 the recalc is going in a infinite loop near 70-80%.

Rebooting the unit the first time is going well.

Any idea?

Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing

Your suggestion seems to presuppose that you always have a PC with you, which I wouldn't want to do using MRA + Tread to create itineraries on the fly when I'm traveling on the bike.

I will download Trip Manager but from what I understand it also needs a PC.
At this point I ask you what are the ...

Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing

Every time I have to transfer some routes to the XT2 I regret having replaced it.

Tread bugs are continuous and there does not seem to be awareness on Garmin's part nor the will to correct them.

Unless there is the explicit will to inhibit to import data from other applications.
