Re: City Navigator North America 2027.10 now available

WAIT, I just switched to GE and it now show the CNNA map under map details where I now can access the option to install it to the PC. I did nothing in GE that would have affected why the map wasn't listed and then 5 minutes later it was.

It was available to me today and the same thing happened ...

Re: City Navigator North America 2027.10 now available

Strange, not available to me yet. I wonder if the rollout is somehow by geographic location.

Re: Flying your Route in Google Earth

Very nice, and easy to create from BaseCamp. It took a couple of tries but I was able to fly one of my routes. For my use case (preview of a route in our trip blog) I'll probably stick with Mapdirector as I can squeeze a 200 to 500 mile day into about 3 minutes of video.

Re: Recalculation - what gets used from the gpx file?

@jfheath, hopefully these nuances are mostly limited to creating/changing points on the XT itself vs. using an existing gpx file. Based on the possible need to restart a route, though, I may drop in another Via or two to avoid potential problems.

Re: Recalculation - what gets used from the gpx file?

Thanks, Peobody , this is what I hoped I would hear. I recognize that the Zumo may find a route between two shaping points that is different from what I intended but I try to minimize this potential when I do my initial planning. I store my originals on the SD card, as well.

Personally, I'm not a ...

Recalculation - what gets used from the gpx file?

This topic has been covered many times but my searches don't seem to land on a conclusive answer. I'm running an XT and using BaseCamp for planning daily routes. They typically have several non-alerting shaping points and a via point or two as reminders for fuel. I'll have that day's track showing ...

Re: Weather radar shows the past instead of the future

I've found the radar clip to be adequate for my purposes. With the route showing underneath it I can at least see if I'm heading into bad weather. It took me a while to understand that I had to be stopped for the report to work.

There is also "Weather" accessible from the three dots on the lower ...

Re: Waypoints

I've used GPSBabel to convert Microsoft Streets and Trips gpx files to a format that BaseCamp can read. Not the same situation but possibly worth a try.

Re: Introducing TripManager

Thank you, Frank. I have version V1.5.0.320 so my documentation is lagging. I'll download the current User Guide. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this great utility.

Re: Introducing TripManager

I may have missed it. Is there a log of sorts that summarizes the changes between versions of the User Guide? I keep a copy of the April 6, 2025 version and I don't think there have been major changes to TripManager since then. I have an XT and it seems the more recent developments are to better ...
