Re: What bike(s) do you ride?
ST1300. Many 2-3 week tours in UK and Europe. Some camping, two-up. This is my 4th Pan European - and have covered a total of more than 200,000 miles between them. 82K on 2 ST1100s and 120K on ST1300s, including nearly 50K on the present one. Mostly 2-up. Re: What bike(s) do you ride?
Ooh, I forgot! Another site someone turned me on to is https://www.hdcarolina.com/map. Very well done with reviews, overview, suggestions, etc. I've been to a few and it's very accurate. It reminded me to add another star to the map- Clingman's Dome, the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains Na...

Re: What bike(s) do you ride?
The big thing for me that racked up the miles was a decision I made 6 or 7 years ago. See, I had by then, been riding the same old loop roads and frankly it was getting very boring. So one day I decided to visit one of our state parks because someone had mentioned it had a great view. It did and whe...

Re: What bike(s) do you ride?
@rbentnail That puts my 48k to shame  But I have only 1 bike :( . I tell folks "I ride more than some, less than others". Here where I am the weather is generally nice, averaging 1.5 days of rain per week so I commute a lot and I'm fortunate to have several other riders close around me. We kee...

Re: Memory Card
I did have an issue a few weeks back where I drew a track and added waypoints. I suspect this statement is where some of your problems lie. Please note- CAPS used below designate important words that have specific meaning. I'm not yelling ;) . You do not draw a TRACK. A track is where you have alre...

Re: Memory Card
Ok I will give that a try, but if I make like 20 or so waypoints on a track or a route. Do I have to import all of them? If you are wanting JUST the waypoints on your device then yes, you must import all of them. Fret not, you can import multiples, you don't have to import 20 individually. I use wa...

Re: Memory Card
To answer your question...... Sort of. I played with it for a bit. Some of it made sense some did not. You are correct, I am using waypoints but they do not seem to be transferring. What is the easiest way to get my waypoints on to the GPS? Sometimes our long-winded friend makes it other than simpl...

Re: Rookie questions
One other thing I like to do when I come across a gate like this is to tap my vehicle icon and save where I am at that moment. With the coordinates I can go to my.garmin.com and report a map error. Hopefully someday it'll get fixed.

Re: New PC install
Try this: Leave the device disconnected from the computer. Open Garmin Express. Be patient, it's generally slow. A box opens, at the top it says your device is not connected- leave it disconnected . The next part down, there should be a 'Map Options' link. Click it. Another box opens, all the way at...
