Re: Zumo 590LM missing Maps
Dealer demo models only had the demo map, and only 4GB RAM. Express will show no maps available for them. Maps can be loaded of course, but easiest is to buy a map on SD card from Garmin. Other methods are... less easy.

Re: Maps not updating on a 595
Is that to say the Travel Edition cannot take maps on an SD card?
No, wrong. But, Garmin Express which controls the download / change of maps will not allow me to have two different CN areas on the internal or any external storage on my 595.
So what actually happens if you manually - i.e ...

Re: Maps not updating on a 595
I only use Express to update the EU maps. All other maps (Aus/NZ, North America, Southern Africa) I load simply by putting the appropriate files on the SD card. Doesn't that work for the Travel Edition too (I'm completely unfamiliar with it...)

Re: Maps not updating on a 595
I'm struggling to understand why you have the problem. Both my 590s with 595 firmware have multiple regions on them - both have Europe, one has Southern Africa and the other has Australia/NZ and North America. Never had a problem getting these to work, so it's strange. One of mine is an everyday 590 ...

Re: craddle
Mine stays on my bike all of the time. I always have the Zumo on, even if I don't have a route planned, so as to get traffic alerts, monitor my tyre pressures, check the weather ahead, etc... Valuable for a lot beyond route instructions.

Re: 590 Rubber Power Button Failed
OK, thanks for the info but if I gotta send for that half pad or button to Europe, I think I'll do without it - or just plug the hole & let it turn on when its connected to power. Obviously with no parts available thru Garmin or otherwise, they prefer to sell a new GPS. Thanks again
There are ...

Mine have been converted so long I can't recall all the differences, sorry John!Oop North John wrote: Thu Sep 25, 2025 9:01 am I'm looking for a list of the differences between the 590 and 595. The links in this thread to the Dutch forum aren't working for me so any help would be appreciated.

Re: 590 Rubber Power Button Failed
Ok it sounds like the rubber pad will get destroyed taking off. I bought a set of all types of very small precision “screwdriver set” starting w T1-T20 but none seem to fit. None of my “camera repair” kit tools work either.
BTW, Do you sell or know where to buy those rubber pads?
Thanks, Paul ...
