Exporting position data

I have an iPad Air, WiFi only, which does not have a internal GPS.
I would like to use some mapping software on the iPad and hoped that I might be able to utilise position data from my Zumo 590LM.
The two devices connect via bluetooth without any problem but unfortunately the Zumo position data appears not to be available to the iPad.

Does anyone know how to achieve this or if it is even possible?
