The Zumo XT screen works great in sunlight

One of my favorite things about the Zumo XT is how readable the screen stays during bright daytime rides.
I used to rely on a phone for navigation, but strong sunlight often made the map difficult to see. The XT is noticeably clearer, and that makes a huge difference on longer touring trips.

It certainly does! I put a cheap matte plastic phone screen protector on mine. Doesn't affect screen visibility much but it does cut down on the glare and sun reflection.

I did the same, though mine was less effective than what
@rbentnail reports. Reflection from my hi-viz jacket and helmet can be particularly bad.
I encountered some ghosting issues to which Garmin support responded with recommending removal of the film, which I did. It had been on for many thousands of miles so I don't think it was the cause of the ghosting. I haven't experienced any ghosting since though so who knows.

The only ghosting I get is in the rain, and it does it with or without the film.
