Using Zumo XT2 on Bicycle

Post by yossibo »

While training on my biycle and looking for new routes around my house I was wondering if anyone used their XT2 on their non-electric bicycles. I know that the XT2 can be configured to work for some time with no power. I haven't tried to hook it to mobile charger. What mount were you using on the bike for the XT2? Can you share other tips? I'm trying to get used to using the XT2 instead of my phone.

Welcome @yossibo

I would have thought that the standard mount with a Ram ball attachment to the handlebar u clamp would be the obvious choice. There is a car mount available - but that may be a different type of ball mount.

The XT2 will last a good 5 hours, full brightness when navigating. It’ll take another hour before it goes flat.

Assuming that it was fully charged when you started, of course.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
