Answered: Does the XT3 have a 'Copy' facility for routes ?

A quick query.

If you load a route on the XT3, before selecting Go!, click the spanner / wrench. Is there a Copy facility listed, and does this allow you to save the same route under a different name.

The reason that I ask is that on the XT2, this is a very quick method of ensuring that the route you are running never displays RUT behaviour.
A handy tool to have in your toolkit if someone shares a route with you via an SD card whle away from home.

Copy the route, make sure you recognise the name and use the copy, not the original.

I'm curious to know whether the copy facility exists on the XT3.

(I have a sneaking suspicion that the copy command might be Garmin's response my various emails and conversations with Product Support about the XT1 and the RUT issue - because the XT1 did not have a copy command, but we discovered that saving the active route on the XT1 had this effect.)

Not quite as good as TripManager, but an easy fix when on the road with an imported GPX file.

If you have Tread set up for synching, then forget this - you're on your own !

I can confirm that the Copy still works for the XT3. Even better when a route thas has mImported=true is copied, the copy will have mImported= false. So you can still use it to fix RUT,

Thanks Frank. Thats what I needed to know. Saves me assuming that the same feature works on the XT3 when I have been writing responses about RUT.
