Hi from Portland UK

Post by Shock »

Hi,
I've been using this great forum for a few months and now that I have decided to keep my XT2, I thought I would join the fun.

Background...
Last September, my wife and I did a trip from the UK to Germany and Luxembourg on our sport bikes (Ducati 848, ZX6R). The trip was absolutely fantastic and we had an amazing time. But...a duffle bag on the back of a sport bike is a rotten way to travel and we had such pannier envy from the other touring bikers. I also found out the shortcomings of iPhone sat nav. We came back from the trip and purchased two new Triumph Tigers and I added the XT2 on my bike. We are taking our first continental trip next week to the Brittany coast for a few days. I am very excited to have proper navigation. I have been using Garmin and Raymarine for decades cruising on sailboats so I am not completely new at this...

Cheers!

Greetings @Shock, welcome to the forum. Have fun on the Triumph Tiger. I understand that it is a great bike. It is on my short list of bikes to consider when I downsize from my Goldwing.
