@Jim1348
A little late, but here it goes.
The Tread 2 is already supported by TripManager (Thanks @proofresistant), and shares a lot of the technology with the Zumo XT2. With that in the back of my head mind it's not a bad idea.
Looking at the Tread I think that could be supported by TripManager also, but lack of testers, and test material, is currently preventing that. Adding a section for the Tread here could solve that.
In my view the name 'Zumo User Forums' would become misleading. Not many people would think one could find info on a Tread there.
I also wonder if the 'true off roaders' are concerned with the road routing topics that are mainly discussed here.
So, I'm in favor, but have my doubts about the popularity it will have.

Keep in mind that the Tread devices themselves seem to be very different from one another and are probably very specialized.
I don't know for sure, but from what I've found on the web, even the platforms are different.
I haven't read much about interest in Tread functions here in the zumoforum until yet.
But there is at least one exception, the
Tread 2.
This is probably similar to a "better" zumo XT2.
Well over 90% of the functions are the same, and the design is even 100% the same.
A few features are missing in Tread 2 (such as radar detectors), but it operates much faster and made different vehicle profiles possible.
However, because the zumo XT2 and Tread 2 are so similar, almost every comment in the Garmin Zumo XT2 section also applies to Tread 2 users.
Elsewise, I agree with
@FrankB
Exception: Off-road drivers in particular suffer from the issues with the zumo XT2 / Tread 2 navigation systems, because offroad exactly where the navigation system should support to drive where it's planned and support the (sometimes many) shapings as planned

And I'm late to the party too...... Busy life at the moment
Just to point out that "zumouserforums" is irrelevant when it comes to people using Google to find information about the tread series as the keywords would pull the users in and not the name of the actual forum.
At the moment I'm mega busy to do a lot but adding sections could be done I'm just not around much to manage things
Luckily there is a fantastic set of members and moderators taking good care of things.
So that in mind it would need a good set of members to get it off the ground!
I'm happy to add the sections if people think it would be useful.

I can only speak for myself. Any questions related to using TripManager with the Tread (2) I will respond of course. Any device related questions will be hard to answer.

That's the worry and why we would need to build up a good user base for the device side of things
