Zumo and BT pillion connectivity

Zumo XT is paired with Schuberth (Sena) SC10U which is paired via intercom to another SC10U. Intercom works normally as does any connectivity between the Zumo, iPhone 13 and SC10U when not paired to the second headset. This includes spoken directions, music and phone calls.
On setting off on route with spoken directions the connectivity is fine for about 10 minutes then spoken directions cease and at the same time intercom function fails. This can only be restored by switching off the primary headset and sometimes the Zumo as well.
The primary headset is paired to the Zumo as is the iPhone although I have tried pairing iPhone to the primary headset as well as to the Zumo. Identical problem if I replace the primary headset with a Schuberth SC2.
As long as there are no voice directions being sent to the headset all is good including music (MP3 on Zumo) and phone calls.
Zumo, iPhone and headset software all up to date. Only fix I have found is to unpair the headset from the Zumo and loose any voice connectivity from the Zumo. Connectivity and use of headsets is 100% even with a route running visually on the Zumo.
Help please!
