I'm trying to set up a "new to me" Zumo 660. Basic functions seem to be working well. It's actually a BMW Nav IV, but there are no posts in that sub-forum, so I'm posting here.
I set up Bluetooth for calling. Paired the GPS to my Android Phone, and paired a set of earbuds as the headset. I tested the earbuds with route directions and the directions audio come through.
When I test an incoming call, the call comes through but the name displayed on the GPS screen is not the name of the caller. The name is a name in my contact list, but has no similarity to the incoming caller at all. When I looked at the phone screen, and the incoming call log, the PHONE has the correct caller information. Just the name displayed on the GPS screen is wrong.
I tried unpairing the phone and headset and reestablishing the connections, and I got the same result. I also had a different caller make a test call to me. THE SAME incorrect caller name is appearing on the GPS screen.
Any ideas? THANKS!

Re: 660 LM Incoming Call has Wrong ID
Wow, no suggestions? Upgrade to a newer device?
Just to add some of the trouble-shooting that I have done. I used the clear all user data option, and then selected my preferences again.
Deleted the pairing of the NAV IV from my phone. The Clear User Data removed the phone and headset from the GPS.
I paired the NAV IV to my phone, allowing access to the contacts in the phone.
I installed a different headset. This one is A2DP compatible so the media player also works now.
Tried an incoming call, and the same contact name as before appears on the screen, no association with the incoming number.

Does the 660 show you your contact list? If so, are the names and numbers correct?

Re: 660 LM Incoming Call has Wrong ID
Yes! This is why it's so silly. Everything else about the Bluetooth/phone/headset appears correct. The contact list is there and it's correct. The call history is correct and it shows the correct name of the caller. The only thing that is wrong is the pop-up box that appears on the GPS screen during an incoming call. The same name is coming up. I did a test call from my wife's phone and my daughter. The numbers were correct, but the name on screen was wrong and the same name for both calls. I have two other Zumos, both of them receive calls correctly.lkraus wrote: Tue Jul 29, 2025 7:08 pm Does the 660 show you your contact list? If so, are the names and numbers correct?

Re: 660 LM Incoming Call has Wrong ID
I dug out my old NAV IV and tried to replicate your issue but mine is working fine, There must be a corrupted bit of software in your unit. Not much help!! Have you tried a factory reset?

Re: 660 LM Incoming Call has Wrong ID
Thank you. Yes, as I said previously, I cleared all user data, paired the phone and headset again, but the same "Wrong Name" appears in the pop up box during an incoming call.Mzokk wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 6:18 pm Have you tried a factory reset?
