Transferring routes to device

Not sure whether this belongs in the BaseCamp forum or in the 396 forum but here goes...
Am I missing something? 396 has wifi capabilities. Then why can't I send a new route (composed in Basecamp) to my 396 without physically attaching my 396 to my computer?
