Installing new maps without updating software (590/595)

Hello!
I have Zumo 590/595 with 4.50 software. Maps CN Europe NTU 2025.10 installed.
Garmin Express shows me the possibility to update maps to much newer version, but only if I update firmware to newer 4.60 version first. I would like to keep my 4.50 firmware and update the maps. Is it possible to do it somehow? Or is it possible to downgrade the firmware after updating to this version of maps?

Well you could install the map to your PC then use BaseCamp to send the map to your PC, but it's not ideal as that simply sends the map and doing it directly from within Express sends, for most devices, more than simply the map. Is there a reason why you don't want to update the firmware?

That's what I would like to do. How to do it?
I don't remember exactly, but here was something not working correctly with new software. I think that it was the ability to send GPX files from smartphone via Garmin Smatphone Link. But I remember that I've spent a lot of time testing the firmwares and left this one at the end

Why not flash the firmware to 4.6, install the maps, then reflash to 4.5?

So I'm wondering if it's doable. There may be a reason, why it forces the update, while I think it was not necessary before.
That's why it would be nice to try updating the maps without touching the firmware. Is it possible somehow?

Yes, as I suggested, install the map to your PC, using Express, then use BaseCamp, or MapInstall, to send the map to your zumo.
If you don't understand how to do one or the other of those, or both, let us know which one you need help with.

I tried every way to download the maps, but none worked. Finally I updated the maps with firmware and downgraded back to 4.50 it after. Everything seems to work fine.
