Media from phone but no nav comments

I have my oPhone connected to the XT and the XT connected to my headset (X.com2 from Next, which is basically a Sena).

I get the music that is playing on my iPhone to my headset, but I get no navigation instructions from the XT to my headset?

Any suggestions?

If you never hear voice navigation (music playing or not) then check that it is not turned off.

If voice navigation is silent only while music is playing, do some digging in search of an option that assigns music precedence over the GPS. Cardo headsets have a precedence option. It doesn't work with the XT, but it exists.

I never hear the voice instructions on the headset, the tick box in the settings stays off...

I hear the music on my headset but not the instructions

On my Sena 5, it works... must be something in the X.com settings..

Took a minute to find anything about your headset, it's actually a Nexx X-Com 2.

My Senas have somehow always established different volume levels for different sources (phone, intercom, music, and navigation), even though most are coming through my Zumo.

But the source has to be active while you are adjusting the volume at the headset, so it is already difficult to do so during a short instruction or alert. If the volume is so low that you cannot tell the directions are being given... :?

Perhaps the Device Manager computer app would let you reset to the default factory volume levels.
Download NEXX Device Manager

Went back to the manual and discovered that the headset (i.e. X.com) needed to be paired as a phone and not as a headset...

This way the xt knows that it supposed to sent the directions to the phone instead only for the music...

Seems a bit strange but appears to be a Sena issue rather than XT issue...
