Cant unlock maps

I just tried updating maps on my XT2 and during the process the computer froze up. I waited for an hour and it was still frozen so i disconnected everything. I booted up the XT2 i get the error message cant unlock maps. I checked and Garmin Express says the maps are up to date. I tried reinstalling the maps and the computer indicated installing but there was never any progress. Has anyone else had this issue.
