Can not get cams to show up on map..

Post by theswede »

I have tried every corner of the XT menues, but i can not find a way to make the installed speedcams show on the map.
I have cams from scdb in both GPX and CSV format, and i loaded the GPX to the XT with garmin POI loader from my PC.
The only place i can find them is if i go to "where" - categories - own POI:s - and there they are...

Have i done something wrong by loading it as GPX with POI-loader? I can vaguely remember thats how i did it on the old 550 years ago?

I think i got a clue from the scdb site. I must delete the "cyclops" cam file, because the garmin can not show poi:s both from the scdb and preinstalled at the same time. BUT... can anyone say which ones are the speed cam file?

There is probably a better way, but I usually take a peek at the files with a good text editor. (For windows - Notepad++)
There is usually some clear text in the first few lines that tells me what is in the file.

Thank you! That worked. All speed cam files, except one.
I deleted the original ones from the XT, but the new ones still doesnt show up on the main map. They are under "my POIs", and when i click "show on map" from the POI menu, then everything is visible with icons and all. But not on the main map or after making a route.
