Works very simply with current devices, it's legacy devices that have the issues not surprisingly really.

Ah, a good point that would've never occurred to me in my world. Makes better sense now, and explains why, at least for my 550, GarminExpress 6.8.0.0 and 6.7.0.0 doesn't work, but 6.6.0.0 works just fine.

Sorry to be posting to an old thread.
Haven't given this thread a detailed read yet but, it seems to address something I just posted about.

I am wondering if software versions have processed far enough this past year to alleviate the problems the original poster had. My current install is similar and may have been done in the same time frame.
