If any expert is interested in modifying/improving/unlocking the software of our Zumo XT,

I'm no expert, and I dont want to modify/improve or unlock anything. But still I had a look. I think only the opensource libraries used are within this archive. The libraries you see when you go in to settings/Device/Software Licences.
You will not find (At least I did not) the navigation software from Garmin. That would have been nice to see, for example can the 'RUT problem' and the 'mImported flag' be investigated from this source? Alas I could not.

Also I have my doubts about the legal issues of your post. What will Garmin think?
