When I updated my maps on my 660 today, I added them to the SD card. There is not much space there and it shows that I still have the 2024.10 maps installed on the card. Is there an easy way to remove them?
If not, one thought would be to just replace the SD card with a new one and then upload the new maps.

Re: Removing Old Maps From 660
This might work - I long since (stupidly) exchanged my 660.
The problem with deleting map files is that you don't know which file name belongs to which map. So this might help you to find out.
Plug in your Zumo and load Basecamp.
Basecamp should show the installed maps in the left hand pane.
Click on the one that you want to get rid of, and it shows some extra details - like this:
The other map (when I click it displays this info
All of the information that you need for the selected map is there. The filename and the location.
Rather than delete the file immediately, I suggest that you rename the file - eg rename d6210270a.img to d6210270a.imgxxx
That way the Zumo will not recognise it as a map, so you can check to see that it has disappeared from the available maps. If so then delete the file.

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
Links: Zumo 590/5 & BC . . . Zumo XT & BC

Thanks for the information. I don't use Basecamp but do have it only machine. I will see what I can do. I like renaming the files first. Good point.

The dates associated with the map files should let you know which are the latest map files, you can't really go wrongcarolinarider09 wrote: ↑11 Nov 2023 15:34 Thanks for the information.
